Responsibilities
Conduct initial and ongoing qualification audits of potential and existing suppliers, including special process and aerospace classified part audits; maintain approved supplier list.
Monitor supplier quality performance. Coordinate improvement activities for poor suppliers and certification efforts for exemplary suppliers.
Assist in training of company and supplier personnel in supplier quality processes.
Assist in development of appropriate training material.
Lead or coordinate training of supplier personnel in inspection and test methods and acceptance criteria.
Assist with design, measure, audit, and improvement of supplier quality processes that satisfy customer expectations.
Document and maintain supplier quality procedures.
Conduct audits to ensure internal compliance.
Participate in internal activities in support of major customer and third-party certification efforts.
Requirements
A Bachelor Degree is required; Engineering or Technical is preferred.

The candidate should have knowledge of industry, government and international quality system standards and their application to an industrial environment and knowledge of manufacturing processes and related process controls.

Experience in utilizing APQP tools including: Control Plans, FMEA's, PPAP and the ability to effectively communicate advance quality concepts, plans and technical data internally and with external (customer or supplier) personnel at all levels.
