Full Job Description
Our Senior Quality Engineer will drive product quality, process capability, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure products meet stringent requirements while improving efficiency, reducing defects, and strengthening quality systems.

What You'll Do...

Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Conduct inspections for final product and incoming materials; maintain required customer and regulatory documentation
  • Perform internal and supplier audits aligned with ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949, and AS9100
  • Manage nonconforming material and determine appropriate disposition (rework, deviation, scrap)
  • Prepare customer approval packages including PPAP, MRB, and first article documentation

Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis
  • Support Six Sigma initiatives and corrective actions with structured problem-solving (8D preferred)
  • Execute statistical analysis including MSA, capability studies, DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and control plans
  • Reduce scrap and rework by identifying root causes and improving process capability
  • Optimize manufacturing processes through equipment specification, method improvements, and new process introduction

Supplier Quality & Collaboration
  • Audit and develop suppliers to ensure product and facility compliance
  • Maintain supplier performance metrics in partnership with Purchasing
  • Define incoming inspection requirements and ensure corrective actions for purchased materials

Engineering & Technical Leadership
  • Interpret engineering requirements including drawings, PO specs, and engineering changes
  • Serve as technical liaison between Production Planning, Engineering, and customers
  • Lead targeted improvement projects to enhance product quality and process performance
  • Perform industrial engineering tasks such as method studies, time standards, and equipment/tooling specifications

Team & Workplace Standards
  • Train junior technical staff on quality tools and processes
  • Model safety and conduct standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Support additional duties as needed


Who You Are....
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • 4-10 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or process engineering
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949, AS910
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, statistical tools, and technical modeling
