El Camino Health Medical Network is currently seeking a skilled Senior Provider Contracting & Compensation Analyst to join our growing healthcare team!

Pay: $130,000-$155,000 annualized

Location: Los Gatos, CA

Schedule: Mon-Friday 8am-5pm

The Senior Provider Contracting & Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the financial, operational, and strategic management of provider compensation and contracting across the El Camino Health Medical Network (ECHMN). This position is responsible for designing, analyzing, and administering provider compensation models, supporting contract development and negotiations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), and fair market value (FMV) standards.

This role partners closely with Finance, Physician Relations, Compliance, and Operational Leadership to ensure compensation structures align with organizational goals, market benchmarks, and sustainable growth strategies.

Essential Functions:
  • Assists with the development and administration of provider contracts /employment agreements.
  • Assists with the development of Physician Compensation Plans and management.
  • Analyses physician incentive plan and tracks goal achievement, and compensation benchmarks.
  • Oversight of provider Continuing Medical Education (CME).
  • Oversight of call coverage agreements tracking submissions and related payments.
  • Assists with the Fair Market Value (FMV) evaluation and analysis of physician compensation agreements.
  • May assist in contract /agreement renegotiation.
  • PSA monitoring and updating.
  • Conducts regular compensation review with medical group leaders and members.
  • Assists with the development of performance metrics by practice and coordinates with department staff to develop quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports relevant to performance tracking. .
  • Analysis monthly documentation and tracking of physician compensation.
  • Liaise with Finance, HR and Payroll to ensure communication on routine and ad hoc changes related to physician compensation are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assists with the development of practice assessment reports for practices under consideration for acquisition.
  • Creates compensation models for physicians and assists in developing business cases for practice acquisitions.
  • Directs the annual compensation calculations including year-end calculations, quarterly true-ups and regular review of compensation to ensure compliance with contracts and legal guidelines.
  • Responsible for assuring customer/patient service needs are met. Plan and initiate process improvement opportunities.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with vendors, employees, other managers, and physicians. Supports a positive image of ECHMN inside and outside the organization.
  • Performs other duties and projects assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related field from an accredited college or university, Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in physician contracting and compensation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with Physicians and organizational Leadership at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communications, and active listening skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio; experience with database programs.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills; exceptional attention to details.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflow.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with staff, physicians/providers, internal and external partners, and other executives.
  • Solid patient/guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member who is flexible, cooperative and willing to assist others.
