As a Senior Project Scheduler, you will develop, maintain, and analyze schedules for large-scale capital projects within the energy construction sector. You will collaborate with Project Management, Operations, Estimating, Project Controls, Procurement, and client teams to monitor performance, identify risks, and support timely decision-making.
What You'll Do
• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed Primavera P6 CPM schedules for large capital construction projects.
• Develop baseline schedules incorporating engineering, procurement, mobilization, construction, commissioning, turnover, and contractual milestones.
• Work directly with project teams to establish realistic activity durations, logic, sequencing, crew plans, and execution strategies.
• Maintain and update project schedules using actual progress, remaining durations, productivity trends, and current field conditions.
• Manage schedules for multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing workload and reporting deadlines across all assignments.
• Perform critical path and near-critical path analysis and clearly communicate schedule drivers to project leadership.
• Identify schedule risks, constraints, delays, and emerging trends before they materially impact project milestones.
• Develop schedule forecasts and evaluate impacts to key milestones and project completion.
• Perform schedule variance analysis against baseline and previous forecast schedules.
• Support development of recovery and mitigation schedules when project performance deviates from plan.
• Integrate subcontractor, vendor, procurement, and client schedules into the overall project schedule.
• Facilitate regular schedule review meetings with project and operations teams.
• Develop schedule narratives, progress reports, look-ahead schedules, milestone reports, and management-level schedule summaries.
• Support project controls reporting by integrating schedule information with cost, progress, productivity, and forecasting data.
• Assist project teams with resource loading and manpower planning where applicable.
• Review subcontractor schedules for logic, sequencing, completeness, and alignment with the overall project execution plan.
• Support change management and time-impact analysis associated with scope changes, delays, and potential schedule impacts.
• Maintain appropriate schedule documentation and historical records to support contractual requirements and potential claims.
• Participate in project kickoff, baseline review, monthly forecasting, and project closeout activities.
