Wylander is recruiting a Senior Project Manager for a full-service disaster restoration company located in Brooklyn, NY.
Senior Project Manager Compensation & Benefits- Starting salary of $110K-120K, annually

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible to oversee residential and commercial restoration and reconstruction projects throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding areas. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from initial assessment through completion while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer service.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in
restoration, reconstruction, construction project management, and estimating, with the leadership skills necessary to manage multiple projects, subcontractors, field teams, customers, and insurance-related requirements.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities- Manage restoration and reconstruction projects from initial scope through final completion and closeout.
- Oversee multiple residential and commercial projects simultaneously.
- Conduct site visits, assess project conditions, and develop accurate scopes of work.
- Prepare, review, and manage estimates using Xactimate.
- Communicate regularly with customers, insurance adjusters, property managers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Establish project timelines, budgets, milestones, and completion goals.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal production teams.
- Monitor job progress, quality, labor, materials, and overall project profitability.
- Identify potential project delays, cost overruns, or scope changes and proactively develop solutions.
- Review change orders and ensure additional work is properly documented and approved.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including estimates, photos, contracts, invoices, work authorizations, and job notes.
- Work closely with the Production and Mitigation teams to ensure a smooth transition from mitigation to reconstruction.
- Ensure projects meet company quality standards, applicable building codes, and safety requirements.
- Conduct regular job-site inspections and ensure work is progressing according to specifications.
- Assist with customer concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
- Track project financials, including budgets, labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and gross margins.
- Assist with final inspections, punch lists, customer walkthroughs, and project closeout.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to Project Managers and other team members.
- Help establish and improve project management processes, procedures, and best practices.
Senior Project Manager Requirements:- 5+ years of management experience within the restoration industry
- Proven ability to build, motivate and maintain a high performing team
- Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and internet and software Systems
- Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks/projects
- Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable. Identifies own learning needs and seeks appropriate steps to continue continual self-development
- Bilingual
- Xactimate experience required or strongly preferred
