Licensed Site Professional and Senior Project Manager, Holyoke or Foxboro, MA

Sovereign Consulting Inc., a national environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ, is seeking a License Site Professional (LSP) / Senior Project Manager, with a minimum of 10 years of experience to work in either our Holyoke or Foxborough, MA offices.

Responsibilities:
• Manage environmental projects, site assessments, characterizations, and complex remediation projects from initial investigation to regulatory closure
• Ensure all site work satisfies Massachusetts General Law c. 21E and the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP)
• Design and implement strategies for soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion mitigation, including risk characterizations and monitoring
• Interpret and analyze site characterization data and information
• Prepare site characterization reports, investigative and remedial action plans/reports, closure plans, MCP prescribed reports, and other technical reports, as needed
• Act as the LSP-of-record to prepare, sign, and submit Waste Site Cleanup Activity Opinions and reports to MassDEP
• Develop site specific budgets, schedules, and work scopes and communicate risk and project status effectively with clients, legal teams, the public, and regulatory agencies
• Market and represent Sovereign Consulting at LSPA, SAME, EBC, etc. meetings as applicable
• Supervise, mentor, and guide junior technical staff

Requirements:
• Active Massachusetts LSP license in good standing and issued by the state Board of Registration of Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals (LSP Board)
• Attend training and professional development programs to maintain the LSP license under evolving state environmental standards
• 10+ years of environmental consulting experience, featuring hands-on involvement with the MCP and MassDEP Regulations, site investigation, and remediation technologies
• A Bachelors degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and current 8-hour refresher preferred
• Excellent communication, analytical, and field sampling skills
• Demonstrated technical writing skills
• Must have a good driving record and be able to drive a company vehicle
