Full Job Description
This position requires local support, with approximately 4-5 days per week onsite in San Francisco, CA subject to client needs.

• Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in construction project management and project controls across all phases of the project lifecycle (specifically cost management, scheduling, risk mitigation, and financial reporting).
• Sector Expertise: Background in commercial interiors/TIs, base building and renovations, critical environments, healthcare, life sciences, or ground-up vertical construction.
• Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Business, or equivalent industry experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong technical advocacy with a thorough understanding of MEP systems, site logistics, and building design/construction processes.
• Software Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office, MS Project or Primavera P6 (preferred), e-Builder/Procore or similar management platforms, and Bluebeam/PDF tools.
• Analytical & Communication Strength: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to critically evaluate facts and figures from various sources to recommend clear corrective actions.
What You'll Be Doing
Project Delivery & Management
• Lead projects through strategic planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, successful construction execution, monitoring, and closeout phases.
• Function as an extension of the client's team, fierce owner advocate, and primary point of contact across consultants, contractors/GCs, and vendors.
• Manage multi-stakeholder logistics, municipal/agency approvals, and site constraints to ensure predictability and schedule adherence.
• Maintain a keen eye for quality and the ability to provide thoughtful feedback with proposed solutions.
• Be willing to travel periodically to support off-site project kickoffs, client meetings, and active job sites across the regions - ultimately, we go where the work is.
Project Controls & Financial Management
• Oversee comprehensive project controls, including baseline schedule tracking, cost estimating, cash flow forecasting, and change order evaluation.
• Ensure open-book transparency on GC buyouts, contracts, exposures, and commitments.
• Oversee invoice tracking, processing, and timely client billing and collections.
• Maintain a strong pulse on the Bay Area labor and material escalation to rigorously vet contractor pricing, validate cost estimates, and provide data-driven budget recommendations to the client / stakeholders.
Risk Management & Quality Assurance
• Lead proactive risk management, contingency tracking, and schedule/budget recovery planning.
• Identify project risks early, check egos at the door, and implement actionable mitigation strategies.
• Ensure proper project documentation, quality assurance controls, and client reporting standards across all lifecycle stages.
Salary Range
$150,000 - $185,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
The advertised salary range is intended as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as experience, expertise, and location. This base salary does not reflect the full compensation package, which may include bonuses, 401(k) matching up to 8%, and other benefits.
