Senior Project Manager Enterprise Transformation

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager leads large, complex, enterprise-wide initiatives from definition through implementation, adoption, and benefits realization. As a member of the Project Management Office within Transformation & Continuous Improvement, the role converts strategic priorities into executable plans, establishes clear governance, and ensures projects deliver measurable business value. This business-facing leader works across executive sponsors, business owners, functional teams, Digital and IT, and external partners to align stakeholders, resolve barriers, and maintain accountability in a matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large, complex enterprise projects and integrated programs across business units, functions, sites, shared services, and external partners from chartering through implementation, transition, and closeout.
  • Partner with executive sponsors and business owners to define business cases, scope, outcomes, success measures, roles, governance, decision rights, resource requirements, and delivery expectations.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, critical-path activities, resource assumptions, implementation roadmaps, financial forecasts, and closeout documentation.
  • Establish fit-for-purpose governance, including steering committees, decision forums, operating cadence, stage gates, escalation paths, action tracking, meeting facilitation, and issue resolution.
  • Manage project health through disciplined controls for scope, schedule, budget, risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, decisions, constraints, changes, actions, financial records, and escalation needs.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery by integrating business process, technology, data, process ownership, organizational readiness, operational requirements, and external implementation partners into one coherent plan.
  • Prepare executive-ready status reports, dashboards, business reviews, decision papers, portfolio updates, and recommendations that clearly communicate progress, tradeoffs, risks, actions, and resource priorities.
  • Integrate stakeholder impact assessment, communications, readiness planning, training coordination, deployment, stabilization, transition support, adoption, value delivery, and benefits realization into project execution.
  • Manage consulting firms, systems integrators, and third parties against defined outcomes, milestones, quality expectations, and commercial commitments.
  • Coach project teams and functional partners on project management fundamentals, governance routines, tools, execution practices, accountability, PMO standards, templates, reporting, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.
  • Complete other projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, Organizational Development, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Ten to fifteen years of professional project management experience, including leadership of large, complex, cross-functional initiatives with enterprise-level impact.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. PgMP, Prosci or another change-management credential, Lean Six Sigma, SAP Activate, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, presentation, negotiation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Deep knowledge of integrated planning, governance, financial management, milestone and dependency management, risk and issue management, change control, vendor management, performance reporting, and benefits realization.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, evaluate tradeoffs, and lead work from concept through implementation, transition, sustainment, and value realization.
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, energy, engineering, or other asset-intensive environment strongly preferred.
  • SAP S/4HANA or other core-system transformations, operational excellence, business-process transformation, organizational change, multi-site programs, and external implementation partners highly valued.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
