Overview

J.Jill is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives focused on the retailer’s web and store channels. This highly visible role will coordinate technology, business, and implementation partners while leading initiatives across the broader J.Jill IT roadmap using Agile, traditional, or hybrid approaches.

Responsibilities

E-commerce and Omnichannel Enablement:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of J.Jill's evolving e-Commerce and omnichannel roadmap.
  • Own the integrated plan, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, budget, and delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate IT, digital/e-Commerce, business stakeholders systems integrators, and other vendors.
  • Establish governance, reporting, decision management, risk escalation, and cross-functional working sessions.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and resource constraints.
  • Coordinate requirements, architecture, integrations, data, testing, security, operational readiness, and deployment.
  • Lead launch readiness, cutover, contingency planning, stabilization, and transition to support.

IT Portfolio Project Leadership

  • Lead complex projects and programs across the broader J.Jill technology roadmap.
  • Manage initiatives across digital commerce, enterprise applications, integrations, omnichannel, marketing technology, data, infrastructure, security, and store technology.
  • Translate strategic priorities into executable plans with clear priorities, ownership, and accountability.

Delivery & Project Management

  • Apply Agile, Waterfall/traditional, or hybrid delivery methods based on initiative needs.
  • Lead roadmaps, releases, schedules, milestones, budgets, resources, dependencies, and forecasts.
  • Establish objectives, success measures, roles, decision rights, and transparent reporting.
  • Drive effective working sessions, decisions, ownership, and partner accountability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of project/program/portfolio management experience, preferably in retail, digital commerce, or a similarly complex technology environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional technology programs through implementation.
  • eCommerce or retail platform experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall/traditional, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience managing implementation partners, vendors, and onshore/offshore teams.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and cross-functional technology delivery.
  • Ability to manage complex dependencies, competing priorities, ambiguity, and changing business needs.
