Purpose of RoleResponsible for coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by Worley. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. Bridges the technical gap between the Project Manager and Engineers. Often functions as assistant project manager with an engineering background. Ascertains that engineering work is done according to plan by helping with design interpretation. Reviews bill of materials/project schedules/forecasts for accuracy. This role would apply to those with an engineering background.

• Has participated in Constructability, Operability and Maintainability Workshops.
• Defines and selects team required to deliver scope of work.
• Effectively leads project team comprised of multi-discipline/ multi-location members.
• Sets clear objectives for the project team including scope, schedule, productivity and budget targets.
• Oversees, motivates and monitors the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps.
• Implements communication tools and process to ensure all team members are informed about project status and key performance indicators.
• Demonstrates the ability to build support for ideas, presenting alternatives and recommendations persuasively.
• Ensures Worley methodologies, processes, tools and systems are used throughout the project and compliance requirements are met/satisfied.
• Applies knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan.
• Ensures design team is aware and complying with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations.
• Demonstrates attention to detail.
• Demonstrated understanding of EPC project delivery workflow and coordination.
• Basic exposure and understanding of procurement/subcontracting and on-site construction support.
• Applies in-depth knowledge of customer contract to the oversight and management of the project.
• Strong understanding and application of business drivers, financial reporting standards.
• Project design deliverables and design quantities are tracked and analyzed
• Understands project cost buildup including gross margin.
• Tracks cost and schedule and uses analytical skill to forecast trends.
• Ensures proper change control processes are understood and used by the project team.
• Translates contract requirements for project scope into Worley scope of services and deliverables.
• Ensures project schedules and resource plans are developed and utilized in managing the project tasks.
• Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
• Develop action plans to address project tasks and issues.
• Good understanding of Project Control Reports and identified problem areas.
• Experienced in successful multi-office workshare execution.
• Promotes Value Creation and Sustainable Solutions objectives for project.
• Effectively communicates and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to staff and management.
• Clearly communicates project requirements, deliverables and expectations with the project team.
• As technical customer interface proactively addresses technical coordination issues.
• Creates an environment for open communication and collaboration.
• Keeps all stakeholders informed of project status.
• Resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
Qualifications- University degree or equivalent in engineering, or equivalent professional experience with registration in the local jurisdiction.
- Desirable: Professional registration in the local jurisdiction and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent by a globally recognized project management organization (e.g., IPMA, APM, PMI, or AIPM).
- Engineering experience with relevant supervisory, project management, and/or technical responsibilities, including Workshare and E/EP project experience.
- Experience in EPCM and EPC projects, including site assignments and work within multicultural and multinational environments.
