Full Job Description
As a senior project architect at DGA, you will:

  • Manage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination
  • Manage communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
  • Maintain the project manual and specifications
  • Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
  • Process submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc. during construction
  • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
  • Detail all types of commercial construction for both buildings and interiors
  • Directing a team, responsible for organizing, executing and coordinating assignments of team.
  • Manage contracts, negotiating project scope and fees
  • Runs design development process, planning, coordinating and overseeing production of architectural drawings in all phases.
  • Experience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy
  • Uses knowledge of architectural systems and detailing, materials application, building codes, and building and engineering systems
  • Works directly with local authorities having jurisdiction
  • Provides technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical & design challenges.
  • Works constructively with building departments and entitlement agencies
  • Coordinate consultants and contractors
  • Manage CA including development of project manual and specifications, material and shop drawing review.
  • Collaborate and partner with the GC towards successful resolution

You'll bring to DGA:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience as a technical project architect.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
  • Licensed or registered architect
  • Experience with Revit (mandatory), AutoCAD (mandatory), Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Ability to complete a full set of construction documents;
  • Understands how buildings are constructed to create accurate and descriptive technical documents
  • Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with confidence and professionalism
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • LEED accreditation a plus
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the annual pay salary range for this position is between $100,000 to $140,000 commensurate with qualifications
