Full Job Description
Role Description

The Electrode Engineering teams within the Core Technology group at Form Energy are multidisciplinary and focused on delivering qualified battery anode and cathode designs that meet operational performance targets, at cost and with high reliability, from controlled processes on high-volume manufacturing lines for Form Energy's utility-scale multi-day energy storage system.

Electrode Engineering is hiring a Senior Program Manager, to lead program management efforts for the development of our Iron-Air battery products. As part of our Core Technology Team, you will contribute to bringing our anode and cathode designs into production, through supporting the activities of our mechanical engineering, materials engineering, and battery engineering teams. As a coordinator and communicator, you will drive tracking and reporting of top risks. You will also take tactical ownership of our product design and execution schedule, through prototyping and engineering validation phases - tracking milestones from design release through supplier fabrication and landing at our factory. This will involve close communication with our factory production and operations teams, supply chain, and various design engineers, as well as coordination with other program managers across the company.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission! If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, apply now!

What you'll do:
  • Drive electrode programs from the prototyping phase into mass production, while managing and communicating schedules across multiple teams to ensure efficient alignment, coordination, and execution
  • Maintain design release schedules from design reviews through to landing materials, for externally sourced components
  • Coordinate with supply chain partners on procurement of tools, critical active materials, and components
  • Organize and provide routine updates on top technical and program risks and issues, communicating key programmatic information inward to the Electrode Engineering organization, and outward to the broader engineering organization.
  • Improve our program management systems and structures based on best-practices and your personal experience, to effectively integrate with and support Form Energy's world-class technical team
  • Proactively identify and frame key decisions and risks, and work with stakeholders to develop decision-quality options; facilitate progress by ensuring appropriate scheduling, resourcing, and prioritization of engineering workflows

What you'll bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering or technical Program Management role
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as mechanical, materials, chemical, or electrical engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in hardware R&D programs
  • Demonstrated experience with contract manufacturers and/or suppliers of high-volume custom components
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to communicate & present at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • A growth mindset and bias for action: you treat ambiguity and roadblocks as opportunities to drive progress, not reasons to wait for direction, and you bring real urgency to creating impact
