Job Purpose and ImpactThe Senior Professional, Environment, Health & Safety Operations job performs complex risk evaluation and prioritization, supports systematic management of regulatory compliance and strengthens disciplined operations to improve environment, health and safety performance in the assigned regions or areas. With minimal supervision, this job develops and supports deployment of corporate environment, health and safety standards, contributes to organizational capability building and recommends improvements to environment, health and safety systems and practices. This job collaborates with local leadership, management and operations teams to identify and mitigate serious injury and fatality risks while supporting alignment with enterprise environment, health and safety priorities and regulatory expectations.
Key Accountabilities- EHS STRATEGY & BUSINESS INTEGRATION: Collaborates with operations, engineering and leadership teams to align environment, health and safety priorities, solve complex operational issues and support integration of environment, health and safety priorities, key performance indicators and goals into business processes.
- EHS RISK MANAGEMENT: Evaluates complex risks across assigned sites, areas or operational processes and develops action plans to improve programs, processes and controls.
- EHS STANDARDS DEPLOYMENT & CAPABILITY BUILDING: Develops and supports deployment plans for environment, health and safety frameworks, management tools and risk management practices and supports organizational capability building through training, mentoring, knowledge sharing and practical application.
- COMPLIANCE AUDIT & INSPECTION: Conducts complex environment, health and safety audits, inspections and verification activities to support regulatory compliance, operational discipline and closure of findings.
- PERFORMANCE MONITORING & REPORTING: Analyzes key performance indicator tracking, trend analysis, insights and report preparation and recommends improvement actions to strengthen safety culture and operational risk management.
- EHS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Recommends improvements to simplify and strengthen the application and consistency of environment, health and safety procedures and job aids.
- CONTRACTORS: Support contractor Environmental requirements during construction phase and help test and evaluate Environmental performance according to design during project startup phase.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 1 year of experience managing Title V air permitting requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience managing DOT hazardous material transportation, RCRA hazardous waste disposal, NPDES direct discharge wastewater permits, NPDES industrial stormwater permits and POTW wastewater discharge permits
- Experience working with Indiana Department of Environment (IDEM)
- Solid working knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards
- Radiation Safety Officer experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or Engineering
