Senior Product Manager
What you’ll do:
PROS is seeking a Sr. Product Manager to lead and develop an effective business plan, strategy and roadmap for the PROS platform services. The product manager is expected to continuously evaluate business opportunities and optimize the product portfolio through deep industry and technology expertise. This is an inherently cross-functional role, requiring close collaboration with other product managers, engineering, science, UX, ops, marketing, sales, finance, and executive teams.
A Day in the Life of the Sr. Product Manager - About the role:
- Develop a product strategy and roadmap that takes PROS to new levels of growth, through the use of business plans and supporting analysis
- Lead by influence to create buy-in for the product vision and roadmap internally, externally, and with key partners
- Understand the customers, users, market, and technology landscape inside and out to help develop product ideas
- Coordinate between engineering teams and product managers from multiple products to deliver integrated platform services
- Work with engineering teams in an agile Scrum environment to manage the product backlog, in a timely and efficient manner
- Track key metrics to understand and improve usage/adoption, operations, and financial health of the portfolio
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact the product portfolio’s functional and financial goals
- Work closely with marketing, sales, support, professional services and content management to ensure that each team has current product information.
- Work with PMs, APMs and Product analysts to provide mentorship
Required Qualifications - About you:
We are looking for candidates who possess the rare combination of the following achievements, skills and behaviors:
- 5+ years of applicable product management experience
- Experience working in the travel industry directly at airlines or software serving those industries with preference given for revenue management or group sales.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (non-technical and technical) skills to navigate a complex cross-functional environment.
- Experience working with software products
- Experience in agile Scrum development
- Willingness to travel
Highly Preferred
- Experience working with SaaS products
- 3+ years of enterprise software product management experience
- Mathematics, statistics, or other data science fields preferred.
