Full Job Description

The Role

Are you an experienced product leader with a passion for solving complex and highly impactful problems? As a Senior Product Manager, you will take strategic ownership of critical workstreams across our cloud-based payroll, HR, Time, and benefits ecosystem. This is a hands-on role where you will not only be a strategic visionary obsessed with client satisfaction, but also a tactical team player focused on successful delivery. You will define a multi-year product strategy, lead cross-functional execution across complex domain boundaries, and serve as a business owner responsible for scaling our platform, ensuring regulatory precision, and driving measurable customer and revenue growth.

What You'll Do
  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap Ownership: Define, champion, and execute the multi-year product vision and strategic roadmap for core payroll capabilities, aligning workstreams directly with key company objectives, ARR expansion, and customer retention.
  • Architect Complex Regulatory Solutions: Serve as a strategic partner to a variety of stakeholders, including Engineering, Revenue, and Operations leadership to architect scalable, automated solutions that solve complex multi-state wage laws, tax updates, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Cross-Product Alignment & Governance: Drive alignment across disparate engineering, UX, sales, operations, and leadership teams, effectively managing complex system dependencies and mitigating cross-domain technical risks.
  • Drive AI & Automation Initiatives: Identify and champion high-impact opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (LLMs, machine learning, dynamic workflows) to automate payroll setup, streamline tax calculations, and enhance self-service client experiences.
  • Lead 0-to-1 & Strategic Scaling: Lead end-to-end product discovery for broad, highly ambiguous opportunities-taking complex platform capabilities from 0-to-1 ideation through enterprise-grade scaling.
  • Market & Domain Authority: Act as the internal authority and market expert on payroll, benefits, and labor technology trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving client needs.
  • Mentorship & Operational Excellence: Elevate the product organization by mentoring PMs and POs, evolving product discovery frameworks, and refining internal go-to-market processes.
  • Data-Driven Outcomes & Performance Tracking: Define and track comprehensive product metrics and KPIs to measure feature impact, validate underlying hypotheses, and continuously optimize user experience and platform health.

What You Bring
  • Domain Expertise (Preferred): Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with payroll, HRIS, benefits administration, time and attendance, or financial technology systems.
  • Strategic Business Acumen: Ability to connect granular product details to macro business drivers, enterprise sales enablement, and unit economics.
  • AI & Emerging Tech Experience: Practical understanding or hands-on experience identifying, scoping, and shipping AI-powered capabilities or automation tools within a SaaS ecosystem.
  • Technical Fluency & Problem Solving: Ability to hold technical discussions with engineering, navigate complex system constraints, and simplify complex workflows into elegant product designs.
  • High Autonomy & Ambiguity Navigation: Demonstrated ability to lead without explicit playbooks, making sound business and product decisions in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
  • Executive Presence: Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication skills tailored for executive leadership, enterprise clients, and external stakeholders.

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Product Management experience required, preferably B2B SaaS experience and/or Payroll, Fintech, HRIS, or Tax Compliance platforms.
  • Experience shipping AI-enabled features, automated workflows, or next-generation software solutions preferred.
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling complex enterprise software products from inception to market success.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree or relevant industry certification preferred.
