SCOPE

When a child can't stay safely with their parents, the people best positioned to care for them are often already in their life: a grandmother, an aunt, a former teacher, a neighbor who's been there for years. Children placed with kin move homes less often, change schools less often, and stay with their siblings far more often. They keep their community, their culture, and their sense of who they are, and they're more likely to say they always felt loved. It's better for parents too, since children placed with relatives return home at a higher rate than those in non-relative foster homes. Federal law requires agencies to make diligent efforts to find and notify relatives when a child comes into care. In practice it's slow detective work. Social workers dig through paper files, run searches across disconnected systems, and draw family trees by hand. Children too often end up with strangers while a relative was there the whole time.

Binti's Family Finding & Engagement module puts that work in one place. Workers can search public records without leaving Binti, generate and export genograms automatically, send templated outreach in multiple languages, and track every connection to a child over time.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Binti PMs drive the strategy and execution of Binti's roadmap. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Sales, and customer-facing teams, alongside an experienced and ambitious group of fellow PMs. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own Family Finding & Engagement's next chapter - smarter, more configurable, and leveraging AI to enable step changes in outcomes. This role reports to our Head of Product.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Own product strategy and roadmap for Family Finding & Engagement.
  • Translate the needs of family finding specialists, social workers, supervisors, and kin caregivers into a clear multi-year vision and a sharp quarterly roadmap.
  • Drive the metrics that matter: kinship placement rates, connections identified per child, time from case opening to first relative contact, outreach response rates, and placement stability.
  • Identify where AI can transform family finding - inferring relationships from unstructured case records, surfacing connections buried in notes, drafting and translating outreach, prioritizing which leads are worth a worker's time.
  • Prototype rapidly using AI tools (Claude, Figma, Cursor, v0) to test ideas with users in days, not weeks. We expect PMs to use AI aggressively in their own workflows.
  • Spend real time shadowing the social workers doing this work, and hearing from kin who've been on the receiving end of an outreach letter. Deep user understanding is non-negotiable.
  • Push scale. Family Finding has to work for private agencies and for states running hundreds of concurrent searches.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT YOU
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably at a high-growth B2B or enterprise SaaS company. Experience with regulated, government-facing, or complex workflow software is a plus.
  • A track record of scaling products meaningfully - taking something from "good and growing" to category-defining.
  • AI-native in how you work and what you build. You already use Claude, Cursor, Lovable, or v0 daily, and have informed opinions on where LLMs and agentic patterns belong (and don't) in high-stakes workflows.
  • Deep experience with user research and turning those insights into actionable updates.
  • Comfort wearing many hats - flexing into UX, design, prompt engineering, and project management as needed.
  • Sharp judgment on tradeoffs: north star vs. MVP, quantitative vs. qualitative, customer-specific vs. platform, configurability vs. simplicity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a range of audiences, from executives and agency leadership to social workers and caregiver families.
  • Passion for building and working with diverse teams, as well as Binti's mission and values.

LOCATION

Binti is headquartered in Downtown San Francisco. This role is hybrid - in-person from our SF office Mondays and Thursdays (with free lunch!), remote the rest of the week.

BENEFITS & PERKS
  • An above-market compensation package (salary + equity)
  • Excellent medical, dental, vision, and life insurance - 99% of insurance premiums covered for you + your dependents
  • Flexible vacation time to promote a healthy work-life blend
  • 13 paid holidays; 11 federally observed holidays (including Juneteenth), plus Election Day and the day after Thanksgiving
  • 16 weeks of paid parental bonding leave for the arrival of a newborn or newly placed infant
  • Sick/mental health time separate from vacation days (accrue up to a cap of 80 hours)
  • 4 weeks of sabbatical after 4 years of service at the company
  • 401k, Commuter benefits, FSA, and DCFSA
  • $5,000 annual bonus for employees who volunteer as a CASA (court-appointed special advocates)
  • $2,500 annual reimbursement for ongoing learning and development, with opportunities to attend trainings/conferences, on-site speaker series, and lunch and learns
  • $300 reimbursement for initial office setup
  • $50 a month effective work reimbursement to cover internet, electricity, office setup costs, or lunch/snacks with coworkers
  • Paid jury duty
