Description

Rochester Electronics, LLC seeks Senior Process Engineers to work in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The Senior Process Engineer develops and documents manufacturing techniques, materials, tools and processes related to back-end semiconductor assembly. Performs analyses and selects techniques to solve problems and enhance product yield and process flows. Salary $118,435 / Year. Performs the following duties:

Job Duties
  • Establishes high yielding, cost effective processes based on product need and customer requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
  • Develops and executes Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization utilizing appropriate statistical analysis software, such as JUMP, Minitab, Excel Statistics, or equivalent.
  • Establishes processes based on product specifications.
  • Evaluates and validates process and design alternatives based on product manufacturability.
  • Understands principles of cost of goods sold and develops process improvements to increase cost effectiveness of manufacturing.
  • Understands intellectual property issues relative to processes being developed.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors and vendors.
  • May serve as member on cross-functional project teams.
  • Understands work environment issues (i.e. OSHA regulations, etc.).
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned; and
  • No supervisory responsibility, but provides informal guidance and mentorship to new team members.


Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Microelectronics, Mechatronic Engineering, or Computer Science or other related engineering discipline required; or equivalent foreign educational degree.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in microelectronics, semiconductor, medical equipment, or other device manufacturing, or other related industry.
  • Semiconductor experience.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.

Skills:
    • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment;
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization;
    • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects;
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office® software suite;
    • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner; and
    • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English.
