Overview

Conduct IFC and as-built IBR dynamic modeling studies in accordance with existing and future ISO-specific requirements and NERC reliability standards, such as PJM's EMT Model Development Guideline for Inverter-Based Resources and NERC MOD-026-2.

Responsibilities

How you can make an impact:
  • Perform detailed bulk power system dynamic studies using various power system software such as PSCAD and PSSE.
  • Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic.
  • Perform various compliance technical assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, ride through assessment.
  • Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.
  • Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
  • Identify training needs and present them to the Engineering Manager as needed.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
