Typical projects include:
- Performing detailed modeling and simulation of navigation system performance
- Prototyping waveforms or algorithms in software defined radios
- Testing and evaluating leading edge hardware in PNT, both in the lab and in the field
Roles & Responsibilities:- Developing, applying, and evaluating state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms for navigation and communication systems (radio navigation, wireless communications, vision navigation, etc.)
- Developing, applying, and evaluating next generation signals for communications, satellite, and radio navigation
- Developing, applying, and evaluating techniques for detecting, locating, and identifying signals
Basic Qualifications:- Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, or other modeling and data analysis software tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Desire to apply a strong math background to real-world applications and to develop skills in communications, navigation, and timing
- This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site
Preferred Qualifications:- PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline
- Experience with applying theory to real world applications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- The ability to build collaborative and mutually beneficial working relationships with people of different backgrounds

Salary compensation range and midpoint:$126,800 - $158,500 - $190,200 Annual
