Full Job Description
Role Summary

The Senior Portfolio Analyst (PA) serves as a subject matter resource for assigned T. Rowe Price investment strategy(s) and represents those investment portfolios across the firm. The Senior PA is primarily responsible for analyzing investment portfolios and developing institutional-level portfolio analysis, messaging, and content to inform key stakeholders.

The Senior PA leverages the time of the portfolio manager, portfolio specialist, and other senior or lead portfolio analysts while ensuring the consistency, accuracy, and integrity of investment messages across regions, distribution channels, and audiences. The role requires adaptability, independent execution, curiosity about data sources, and a commitment to developing deep investment and strategy-specific knowledge over time.

  • Create custom, time-sensitive analysis, refining and validating outputs to ensure analytical rigor, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with approved investment messaging.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in investment data sources, platforms, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled tools, including data sourcing, construction, and limitations, demonstrating increasing independence in the analysis, synthesis, and interpretation of portfolio information.
  • Develop and deliver quarterly strategy updates, leveraging AI-enabled tools as appropriate to support drafting, comparison, and synthesis of results, while retaining ownership of final conclusions and messaging.
  • Execute responsibilities using AI-enabled analytics and automation to aggregate data, perform recurring analysis, identify comparisons, synthesize information, and generate initial analytical outputs, subject to appropriate human review.

Provide Leverage to Other Investment Professionals:
  • Support and, in some cases, represent portfolio managers and portfolio specialists in response to associate and client inquiries, including ad hoc and follow-up prospect, client, and consultant questions.
  • Act as an investment resource for content creation, including custom presentations, exhibits, and analysis; identify and employ opportunities to leverage AI to improve speed, consistency, scalability, and quality of outputs.
  • Provide investment support for sales and marketing collateral, including development, review, and sign-off responsibilities.

Franchise & Asset Class Support:
  • Develop and maintain relationships necessary to navigate a complex organizational structure and evolving regulatory environment.
  • Contribute to an informed salesforce through education, onboarding, coaching, and facilitation of meetings.
  • Educate and train diverse teams within T. Rowe Price on assigned investment portfolios.
  • Provide franchise support on RFPs and written commentaries, ensuring outputs are aligned with approved content and reviewed for accuracy.
