Role Overview:This role is for a Senior Platform Software Engineer with a focus on Java, responsible for developing and maintaining distributed systems and cloud-native applications. The position requires significant experience with Apple products and a strong background in cloud technologies and microservices architecture.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain distributed systems and cloud-native application development.
- Implement and manage microservices using Java 11/17, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Design and deploy applications on AWS, utilizing services like EKS, Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, S3, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Utilize containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Work with search and indexing technologies like OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, and Lucene.
- Develop using event-driven architecture principles with Apache Kafka.
- Optimize Java multithreading, JVM performance, and concurrent programming.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, and Gradle.
- Manage monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and OpenTelemetry.

Qualifications:- 8+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development
- Strong experience building scalable cloud-native and distributed enterprise applications
- Minimum 4 years of previous Apple experience (Ex-Apple) is mandatory.
Preferred Skills:- Previous Apple project experience is highly preferred.
