The People Technology Solutions team (within our People Operations organization) provides the enabling technology foundation for candidate and employee experience at eBay. Our ecosystem is anchored in Workday HCM and extended through best-in-class SaaS platforms, custom applications, analytics, and emerging AI driven solutions.
We are looking for a product-minded Sr. People Technology Analyst to help shape and scale eBay's recruiting technology experience. This role will partner closely with Talent Acquisition, TA Operations, IT, and other collaborators. It will focus on understanding business needs, defining product priorities, and delivering solutions. These solutions help candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters navigate the entire recruiting process.
Workday Recruiting is a core platform for this role, but the scope is broader than Workday configuration. The successful candidate will think end-to-end across the TA ecosystem, including integrated sourcing, screening & assessment, interview scheduling, and structured interview tools, skills data, reporting, user experience, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities. This person will help translate recruiting strategy into scalable technology solutions, and improve the candidate, manager and recruiter experiences at eBay.
This individual contributor role is a hybrid role with proximity to our Salt Lake City office. Working arrangements are Hybrid (3 days onsite/week) in the Salt Lake City office. Also, the ability to work flexible hours for global collaboration, when needed.
What You'll Accomplish: - Serve as a product-minded technology partner for eBay's recruiting ecosystem, with Workday Recruiting as the core platform.
- Contribute to roadmap development for recruiting technology enhancements, balancing business priorities, user needs, operational requirements, and technical feasibility.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, TA Operations, IT, and other collaborators to understand needs, define requirements, and prioritize solutions.
- Partner with TA Operations to support and enhance the recruiting technology ecosystem, including interview scheduling platforms (Paradox), CRM platforms (Gem, Phenom People) and AI-enabled recruiting tools (HiredScore, Textio, BrightHire, CodeSignal etc).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business and technical requirements into scalable solution builds and AI use cases, including user stories, process flows, business rules, solution concepts, and success measures.
- Lead configuration, testing, deployment, and optimization of Workday Recruiting for assigned projects.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities using AI and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Workday Developer Agent, Sana Agent Builder or similar platforms).
- Support development of custom applications using Workday Extend where tailored solutions are required.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to enable data-driven decisions.
- Provide production support and issue resolution while identifying root causes and scalable improvements.
- Support transitions, communications, training, and adoption for new/improved processes and capabilities.
- Partner with IT and vendors to support integrations, data flows, technical dependencies, and platform governance.
- Participate in internal audits, SOX cycles, data privacy reviews, and compliance-related documentation as needed.
- Maintain documentation, including product requirements, process maps, test scripts, release notes, project plans, and support materials.
- Stay ahead of Workday, recruiting technology, skills, AI, and HR technology trends, and assess their applicability to eBay's People technology ecosystem.
What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Human Resources, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of dynamic hands-on HRIS experience, including experience with HR SaaS-based systems
- 3+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience with at least 2+ years of Workday Recruiting configuration experience.
- Current on emerging AI trends in HR technology and assess applicability to eBay's people technology ecosystem.
- Strong functional expertise in recruiting end-to-end process.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver scalable solutions
- Excellent collaborator communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to take complex concepts and convey them simply to less technical audiences
- Working knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Ability to manage priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools.
Preferred Qualifications- Workday certification in Recruiting; certifications in Workday HCM & other modules a plus
- Experience supporting recruiting ecosystem tools such as:
- Paradox, GoodTime (Interview Scheduling)
- Gem (CRM)
- HiredScore, Textio, BrightHire (AI/talent intelligence)
- Advanced Workday reporting expertise (calculated fields, matrix reports, dashboards).
- At least 1 year experience with Workday Onboarding and DocuSign integrations.
- Previous experience working in a service delivery model which includes a shared services organisation
- Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company or previous experience with a medium-to-large multinational company
- Previous experience bringing to bear Workday AI/ML features to improve outcomes in HR Operations and User Experience
- Previous experience supporting global People processes across multiple regions (EMEA/APAC) a plus
- 1 or more years experience using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Claude Code) to draft functional specifications, business requirements, test scripts, and training documentation. Accelerate report writing and calculated field logic design and/or 1 year of previous exposure to AI driven workflow automation/orchestration platforms or agent-building tools e.g. Sana Agent Builder, Google Agentspace, Glean, etc. (strongly preferred)
- Strong HR domain expertise with the ability to influence and promote leading practices
- Experience building or supporting applications using Workday Extend a plus.
Additional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$86,800 - $150,100
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
