Position Summary:

Thisperson is a strong listener, able to ensure collated business and technologystrategies are reflected in the vision on how to build and operationalizeanalytics models using technology. This individual will provide hands-onconsultancy, collaboration and support to internal clients and project teams indesigning and delivering business and data analytics work. The Senior or FP&Aanalyst specializes in collecting, organizing/aggregating, and analyzing datato accurately report their findings for purpose of decision-making andstrategic initiatives. The ability to communicate those results effectively isessential.
Role Responsibilities:
Perform analysis of investment income, expenses, and underwriting results, and compare against budget and modeled results.
Prepare reports to communicate financial results to management in clear and concise formats.
Participate in developing enterprise annual budgets and forecasts.
Support the accounting and finance stakeholders with automation and build out customized analytic reports for financial and operational reporting
Aggregate data points from existing proprietary data warehouse to create relevant reporting outcomes in support of FP&A.
Perform data analysis to generate reports and recommendations aligned to business needs and objectives.
Provide results from research to assist management in decision-making.
Analyze and determine data, system, and program requirements for departmental projects.
Work with business partners to define and create reporting dashboards and support ongoing data monitoring for financial data across systems.
Perform analysis of ways to control costs, maintain efficiency, and improve effectiveness of our business processes.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience within Life insurance (reinsurance)
Understanding of US GAAP, US Statutory, and/or Life Insurance tax accounting principles
High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
Exceptional analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exemplary teamwork skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
Self-starter: able to initiate, prioritize, and complete assignments with minimal supervision
Eagerness and ability to learn and adapt technologies, industry practices, tools, and trends
Strong organizational skills, strong project management skills, attention to detail and continuous process improvement mindset
Energetic, strong work ethic, resilient, collaborative, ability to juggle multiple projects at once and personally committed to achieving success
Experience working with BI Software a plus (e.g., MS Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Required Education /Certifications:
BS or BA in Finance, Accountancy, or Mathematics preferred
Candidate with CPA or MBA a plus
Experience writing SQL queries and an understanding of data warehouse structures a plus

This role may be filled at a level dependent on theexperience and qualifications of the applicant.
Basesalary/hourly rate range for this position in Connecticut is between $85,000and $120,000 Please note that specific compensation decisions are based upon avariety of job-related factors as permitted by law, including geographiclocation, credentials, skills, education, training, and experience.
Base salary is just one component of Wilton Re's total compensationpackage for employees. Additional compensation includes annualperformance-based bonus, 401K with employer contribution, and profit-sharingprogram. Employee may also be eligible for long-term incentives (equity). Allincentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
