The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis. SSAG is hiring for a full-time Senior Operations Research Analyst at HQ USSTRATCOM, Offutt AFB, NE.
Responsibilities
The Senior Operations Research Analyst leads advanced analytical efforts supporting Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) modernization, applying seniorlevel expertise in ModelBased Systems Engineering (MBSE) and missionlevel assessment to shape and evaluate complex systemofsystems architectures. In this role, the analyst directs the development, refinement, and integration of MBSE models across multiple toolsetsincluding ArcherEye, Veracity, Cameo, MagicDraw, and comparable systemsensuring that model architectures, workflows, and analytical methods meet high standards of fidelity, traceability, and mission relevance.
The analyst oversees MBSEdriven modeling, simulation, and analytical workflows by defining use cases, selecting appropriate methodologies, validating model outputs, and ensuring rigorous evaluation of dependencies, risks, and missionlevel impacts. The role includes leading requirements reviews, structured datacollection processes, and crossfunctional technical exchanges to support comprehensive NC3 systemofsystems analysis.
As a senior contributor, the analyst synthesizes modeling results and operational insights into highquality technical reports, engineering documentation, missionassurance assessments, and seniorleader briefings for United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), other Combatant Commands, and Department of War stakeholders. The analyst represents MBSE and operations research activities in stakeholder meetings, providing authoritative expertise and guiding analytical priorities across modernization efforts. Additionally, the senior analyst mentors junior team members, contributes to the advancement of USSTRATCOMs MBSE and digitalengineering capabilities, and supports continuous improvement of modeling standards, analytical best practices, and toolintegration approaches.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility, along with eligibility for Nuclear Command and Control Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2ESI), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Special Access Required (SAR) programs on day one, and must maintain all required clearances and program eligibilities throughout employment.
- Must be able to work fulltime onsite (5 days per week) at Offutt Air Force Base (AFB).
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, engineering, operations research, physical science, data science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of operationsresearch, analytical, or systemsengineering experience supporting Department of Defense or Department of War missions.
- Extensive experience developing, leading, and validating systemofsystems models using ModelBased Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as ArcherEye, Veracity, Cameo, MagicDraw, or comparable systems.
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing modeling, simulation, and analytical assessments addressing missionlevel effects, performance dependencies, and operational risk.
- Experience conducting requirements reviews, structured datacollection activities, and crossfunctional technical exchanges supporting Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) or related mission
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting NC3, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) missionlevel modeling or operational assessments.
- Experience with MBSE languages and frameworks such as Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Modeling Language (UML), or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
- Experience using Python, R, or other analytical programming languages, as well as datavisualization tools such as Tableau.
- Experience contributing to digitalengineering processes, modeling standards, or toolintegration frameworks.
