Full Job Description
The Senior Operations Manager manages daily activities within the organization's operations function and works closely with Operations Directors to support and strengthen branch operations. This role is intentionally designed as a developmental and rotational leadership opportunity, providing broad exposure to multiple operating environments and preparing high-potential leaders for future placement across the enterprise.

The Senior Operations Manager will oversee and support continuous improvement initiatives, operational standardization, and best-practice deployment across facilities. Relocation typically occurs within 12-18 months, with exact timing dependent on business needs and individual readiness; the role is expected to relocate to support operations across the West Coast, including but not limited to California, Phoenix, New Mexico, and Idaho.

Essential Duties:
  • Drive improved financial performance and competitive positioning through continuous improvement of operational and production processes
  • Analyze operations workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and cost optimization
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Support consistent reporting of performance metrics, DSI, policies, and procedures across operations
  • Partner with Branch Operations teams to resolve tactical and strategic operational challenges
  • Interface with leadership to ensure customer complaints and operational issues are addressed promptly and effectively
  • Deploy and execute Enterprise Strategy throughout Operations
  • Provide direct leadership oversight for Inbound Warehouse, Inventory, Quality Control (QC), Divisional Safety and Compliance, and related teams
  • Develop and execute operational plans and production schedules that increase profitability while reducing overhead
  • Establish, monitor, and improve quality and safety standards across assigned operations
  • Adjust associate schedules and staffing plans to optimize labor costs while meeting productivity and service expectations
  • Participate in cross-facility training, best-practice sharing, and rotational assignments as part of leadership development
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited college required; Master's Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive operations experience within foodservice, distribution, warehouse, or transportation environments, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Background in automated warehousing / engineering-driven operations or transportation, delivery, and route-based operations strongly preferred
  • Experience operating within high-volume, performance-driven environments
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to West Coast facilities based on business needs and leader readiness
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time in support of projects as assigned
  • Strong technical proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, Business Intelligence tools)
  • Flexibility to work operational demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Salary of $100,000 to $140,000 depending on competency, experience, qualifications and skills plus annual bonus potential.
