Overview

The Senior Analyst - Media Data will provide analytic support and strategic recommendations for one of Spark Foundry's client accounts. This position requires an eye for numbers, intellectual curiosity, proficiency at problem solving, a strong command of online media, and an understanding of traditional media. The candidate must be a team player and responsive in a client service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Analytics Manager and media teams to create measurable online and offline campaign objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Determine campaign data and tracking requirements and support measurement systems for accurate data capture and reporting.
  • Perform ongoing campaign and client-specific analyses to identify insights, support optimization, and inform future media decisions.
  • Serve as a key liaison between technical data-engineering resources, analytics teams, and media stakeholders, helping translate business and media requirements into clear data needs.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of data quality assurance and quality control processes, including validating data inputs, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating issue resolution across teams.
  • Partner closely with technical teams to understand data workflows, investigate data-quality issues, and ensure outputs are accurate, complete, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of paid-media data, campaign taxonomy, reporting requirements, and the processes through which data moves between platforms and teams.
  • Communicate data issues and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical partners, serving as connective tissue across teams with different areas of expertise.
  • Build a body of knowledge on media, technology, and strategy performance to inform future decisions related to schedules, budgets, partners, and strategies.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience within an analytics function in the marketing or media industry, including experience working with online media.
  • Strong understanding of paid-media data and the ability to discuss campaign data, measurement, and reporting requirements fluently.
  • Experience reviewing, validating, or troubleshooting data, with strong attention to detail and an understanding of Quality Assurance/Quality Control principles.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues, identify root causes, evaluate contributing factors, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interest in developing deeper technical expertise and partnering closely with data engineers, data workflows, and large-scale data environments.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets to develop insights and learnings.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and learning agility, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, tools, and business domains.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, independently prioritize competing demands, and drive solutions with limited direction.
  • Strong hands-on SQL experience, including multi-table joins, window functions, aggregations, and data validation across large datasets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistic

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and data workflow tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Python for data manipulation and analysis (PySpark or equivalent), including the ability to read, write, modify, and troubleshoot scripts and notebooks independently.

Compensation Range: USD $73,150.00 - USD $101,010.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
