Job Description/Preferred QualificationsCome join a world-class engineering team and bring a highly-complex, next-generation reticle inspection tool to market! This role provides an opportunity for an experienced Mechatronics/Controls engineer to apply their understanding of control theory, system dynamics, and data analytics to optimize the performance of a multi-axis precision stage.
Specific responsibilities include:
1) Perform controller tuning, performance characterization, and troubleshooting for a nanometer-level precision motion stage.
2) Define requirements for stage testing and drive the development of data processing tools in Python.
3) Characterize dynamic performance at the inspection station level. Use a combination of testing and analysis to understand observed behavior. Define and drive the implementation of improvements if needed.
4) Work with a cross-functional team to bring prototype systems online and participate in the testing of complex calibrations and algorithms.
5) Follow the initial systems through Alpha test, delivery and Beta test at one or more customer sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in related engineering discipline, with 5+ years of experience in precision motion control and hands-on experience integrating, testing, and optimizing the performance of complex mechanisms
- Experience with semiconductor equipment and working in cleanrooms is preferred
- Experience using Matlab/Simulink for controller development
- Experience using Python for data analytics
Minimum QualificationsDoctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
Base Pay Range: $117,800.00 - $200,300.00 Annually
