Full Job Description
  • Model complex, lofted aerospace parts in NX and possibly SolidWorks
  • Perform and interpret Finite Element Analyses
  • Design tooling to manufacture, repair, and assemble parts
  • Participate in bid and proposal efforts by providing technical proposal content
  • Participate in AS9100/ISO 9001 audits and provide quality engineering support as needed (e.g. authoring quality plans/inspections, etc)
  • Reverse engineer parts using a Faro arm, Keyence and Verisurf software to fill in missing or incorrect data in drawing and loft and use Faro arm to verify models created
  • Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Document actions by completing logs
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Update existing work instructions to comply with updated Quality requirements
  • Work with technicians to improve (lean) processes
  • Read and interpret specifications, drawings, and other technical data to develop manufacturing process
  • Work with Senior Program Managers as Project Engineer aiding in performance of analyses and interpretation of results as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Education/Training (both required and desired):
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant engineering or science discipline, from an ABET accredited program required


  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area
    • Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 Standard Practices for Engineering Drawings
    • 3D printing of prototype parts


  • Security:
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Salary: $100,000 - 100,000
