SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER - HARDWARE TEAMAs a member of Team Protect, you'll be responsible for exploring new product ideas and developing technology platforms that support the SawStop mission.
You'll identify and initiate investigations of production technologies, prototype and test solutions for product features, and design and validate production designs that deliver an exceptional user experience. You'll use engineering principles to analyze designs and progress toward proof-of-concept models. You will create and use validated simulations to increase the number of designs that can be explored, increase the likelihood proofs of concept meet requirements, and optimize concepts.
Using both rapid prototyping and traditional fabrication techniques, you will create functional prototypes to evaluate new concepts. You'll work closely with cross functional team members, complete designs, develop and execute verification plans, and communicate results.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Technology Development
