About This Role:
About This Role:
The Senior Master Planner is a critical member of the Global Supply Chain organization responsible for leading the development and governance of integrated supply plans across manufacturing, materials, capacity, inventory, and customer demand requirements. This role connects Demand Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Distribution, Finance, and Commercial teams to establish executable plans that support customer service, operational performance, inventory health, and financial objectives. The Senior Master Planner anticipates constraints, leads scenario analysis, recommends business tradeoffs, and drives coordinated decisions across the end-to-end supply chain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead the master production and supply plan across product families, manufacturing sites, suppliers, and distribution nodes over short-, mid-, and long-term planning horizons.
• Develop and govern capacity-constrained supply plans that balance customer demand, inventory targets, manufacturing capabilities, material availability, financial objectives, and business priorities.
• Lead monthly supply reviews and executive planning discussions regarding supply, inventory, capacity, service, cost, and risk tradeoffs.
• Partner with Demand Planning and Finance to reconcile demand, supply, and financial assumptions and maintain alignment between the consensus forecast, operational plan, and business outlook.
• Evaluate complex manufacturing capacity, labor, supplier, material, quality, lead-time, and inventory constraints to identify enterprise risks and opportunities.
• Lead scenario modeling and mitigation planning for shortages, capacity constraints, inventory imbalances, backlog, product transitions, and customer-service risks.
• Drive coordinated planning decisions across Procurement, Materials, Manufacturing, Distribution, Quality, Customer Care, Engineering, Finance, Commercial, and other stakeholders.
• Lead supply-planning readiness for new product introductions, product transfers, supplier transitions, engineering changes, geographic expansion, and end-of-life activities.
• Govern planning parameters, calendars, item and bill-of-material data, lead times, inventory policies, and documented assumptions required for reliable planning outputs.
• Prepare and present executive-ready summaries of supply outlook, inventory trends, capacity constraints, material risks, scenarios, mitigation actions, and decisions required.
• Lead root-cause analysis for significant supply, schedule, inventory, and planning misses and drive sustainable improvements across processes, systems, data quality, and operating mechanisms.
• Establish planning governance, standard work, performance metrics, exception management, and master-planning best practices; coach planners and strengthen organizational planning capability.
• Operate in accordance with applicable quality, regulatory, compliance, and company requirements; proactively escalate risks that could affect customers or patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in master planning, production planning, supply planning, inventory planning, materials management, integrated business planning, or related supply chain roles.
• Bachelor's degree or higher education preferred but not required.
• Experience leading integrated production or supply plans across multiple products, manufacturing lines, suppliers, sites, or distribution nodes in the medical device industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional supply reviews, resolving complex constraints, and influencing senior-level decisions involving capacity, inventory, service, cost, and risk tradeoffs.
• Experience with advanced capacity modeling, supply scenarios, material requirements planning, inventory optimization, and executive-level decision support.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, advanced planning, business-intelligence, and data-analysis tools; advanced Microsoft Excel capability is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Expert knowledge of master scheduling, supply planning, capacity planning, inventory management, production planning, and materials management.
• Deep understanding of MRP, bills of material, lead times, planning parameters, manufacturing operations, inventory policies, and replenishment methodologies.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including multi-site capacity modeling, supply-risk assessment, inventory optimization, scenario planning, root-cause analysis, and exception management.
• Strong knowledge of forecast consumption, safety stock, service-level management, schedule attainment, capacity utilization, backlog, and end-to-end supply-chain performance metrics.
• Ability to evaluate complex planning scenarios, quantify business tradeoffs, and translate operational constraints into clear recommendations and decisions.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present planning risks, scenarios, recommendations, and required decisions to senior leaders.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder-management, mentoring, and influencing skills in a matrixed environment.
• High attention to detail, ownership, prioritization, and execution discipline across multiple planning horizons and competing enterprise priorities.
• Continuous-improvement mindset with the ability to establish governance, standardize work, improve data quality, and increase end-to-end planning transparency and accountability.
• Comfort leading through ambiguity, changing priorities, and incomplete information while maintaining sound judgment and a patient-first perspective.
