The Senior Manufacturing Engineer leads complex manufacturing, automation, capacity, and productivity initiatives that support business objectives in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth. This role provides technical leadership across manufacturing processes and systems, drives capital and process improvement projects from concept through implementation, and partners cross-functionally to build scalable, efficient manufacturing capabilities. The position also mentors engineers and technicians, supports capital and resource planning, and represents Manufacturing Engineering in leadership discussions.
What you will Do:- Lead manufacturing, automation, capacity, productivity, and facility improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership for processes, equipment, and manufacturing systems.
- Manage projects from business case through implementation, validation, and handoff.
- Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, risk plans, and resource plans.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, IT, EHS, and suppliers.
- Establish engineering standards, best practices, and scalable manufacturing solutions.
- Support capital planning, manufacturing roadmaps, and long-term capacity strategies.
- Mentor engineers and technicians and help strengthen team capability.
- Present recommendations, project updates, and business cases to plant and business leaders.
What you will Bring:- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will be considered
- 7-10 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional projects from concept through implementation.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing process design, capacity analysis, labor optimization, line balancing, process capability, and root-cause problem solving.
- Experience with capital equipment, automation, manufacturing launches, capacity expansion, facility changes, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Experience with capital planning, manufacturing roadmaps, and ERP/MES or other manufacturing data systems.
- Lean, Six Sigma, automation, controls, robotics, digital manufacturing, or related advanced manufacturing credentials.
- Proven ability to influence across functions without formal authority.
- Strong communication, project leadership, and business acumen.
- PMP certification preferred.
