Key Responsibilities

Direct the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing methods, automation, and tooling strategies.
Serve as the technical lead for manufacturing readiness and process validation on New Product Introductions (NPI), including high-complexity or first-of-kind builds.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts for significant or recurring manufacturing issues.
Drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives, coaching teams on structured problem-solving methods.
Own and continuously improve process documentation standards, including work instructions, SOPs, and control plans.
Lead capacity planning, time studies, and throughput analysis; develop and justify capital equipment proposals.
Partner with program management, quality, and design engineering to align manufacturing strategy with program requirements and schedules.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to Manufacturing Engineers and production technicians.

Required Qualifications:
BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of related experience (11+ years total) or relevant certifications will be considered.
7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated progression of technical responsibility.
Proven track record leading process improvement and NPI initiatives from concept through full-rate production.
Advanced knowledge of production processes, materials, and equipment in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume environment.
Strong hands-on experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks), GD&T, FMEA, and statistical analysis software.
Demonstrated experience developing PFMEAs, control plans, and process validations.
Experience with manufacturing systems including ERP, MES, and QMS platforms (e.g., Costpoint, TIPQA).
Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work on government contracts; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting electronics, RF, or C5ISR manufacturing.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent.
Prior experience in a formal engineering leadership or technical lead capacity.
Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
