Full Job Description
We are hiring a Manager/Senior Manager to join our Enterprise Strategy and Technology Planning function, with dual responsibility for managing our Apptio Technology Business Management (TBM) platform and leading Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps). Reporting to the Director of Technology Business Management, sets direction and owns outcomes for both disciplines, directing a team that includes an Apptio platform team and an internal Cloud FinOps Lead. The role is accountable for strategy execution, quality of delivery, and stakeholder alignment rather than day-to-day system configuration. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in TBM frameworks, Apptio tooling, and Cloud FinOps practices, combined with strong financial acumen and the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups. This role requires someone who can set priorities, hold delivery partners accountable, and translate technology and cloud spend into insights business and technology leaders can action. In This Role, You'll Get To: Team Leadership & Strategy Execution • Lead and direct a team comprising the TBM platform team and Cloud FinOps Lead, setting priorities and holding both accountable to roadmap commitments • Translate enterprise TBM strategy into an executable roadmap for TBM Platform and Cloud FinOps, in partnership with the Director of TBM Apptio Platform Oversight • Set direction and priorities for Apptio module build-out (Planning, TCO, Cost Allocation, Vendor Management), directing the TBM platform team's execution • Ensure system integrity, data quality, and alignment to TBM best practices across the Apptio platform • Oversee delivery of executive-level financial reporting and dashboards, including CIO-level visibility into technology spend, trends, and KPIs Cloud FinOps Leadership • Direct the Cloud FinOps Lead in maturing cloud cost allocation, optimization, and FinOps practices across Cloudability • Set the roadmap for cloud cost transparency and drive FinOps adoption with infrastructure and product teams Cross-Functional Partnership & Stakeholder Management • Serve as the senior point of contact for Technology leaders and finance team on Apptio and Cloud FinOps matters • Partner with Corporate Finance to integrate Apptio outputs into enterprise financial reporting and planning cycles • Represent Apptio and Cloud FinOps strategy and progress to the Director and senior leadership Governance & Continuous Improvement • Establish governance frameworks and standard operating procedures for the Apptio platform and Cloud FinOps function • Drive automation, data integration improvements, and organizational adoption through team-led training and enablement We Are Looking for Someone with the Following Competencies: - TBM & Apptio Strategy - strong grasp of TBM frameworks and Apptio capabilities sufficient to direct a platform team, set priorities, and evaluate delivery quality; hands-on configuration is not required - Cloud FinOps Leadership - understanding of cloud pricing models, optimization techniques, and FinOps principles, with experience directing FinOps practice maturity - Team & Vendor Management - proven experience leading teams and directing third-party or managed-service delivery - IT Financial Planning & Analysis - solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and translating technology costs into financial narratives - Stakeholder Management & Executive Communication - skilled at engaging technology and finance audiences and presenting to senior leadership - Change Management & User Enablement - track record driving adoption of new tools and ways of working across an organization Required Experience: -7+ years of professional experience in IT Finance, Technology Business -Management, FP&A, or related roles, including experience leading teams and/or managing vendor delivery -Experience directing or partnering with Apptio (or a similar TBM platform) implementation; hands-on configuration experience is a plus but not required -Experience with Cloud FinOps practices and tools such as Cloudability -Proven track record leading teams and managing external delivery partners -Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field required -MBA, CPA, or TBM Certified Professional preferred -Strong financial acumen; familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Workday, SAP) Department Information Technology Required Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience Required Travel: Negligible Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
