ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to lead our global tax provision and financial reporting functions. In this role, you will serve as our subject matter expert on ASC 740, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant quarterly and annual tax disclosures.
* Candidates must reside within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and be available to travel to the Reston, VA office on an as-needed basis.
Other responsibilities include:
- Partnering closely with corporate accounting, treasury, FP&A and external auditors to manage complex tax positions, valuation allowance assessments, tax accounting for M&A and uncertain tax positions.
- Prepare, review, and analyze tax provision workpapers, including support for deferred tax balances, disclosures, uncertain tax positions, provision to return analysis, and technical memos.
- Assist with the preparation of current year and long-term cash tax planning, monitoring risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and assess proposed and enacted legislative changes for impacts on the tax provision, effective tax rate and other disclosures.
- Identify, develop, and capture efficiency improvements related to workpapers and processes leveraging technologies such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, AI, and others.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor27s degree in accounting or tax.
- 12+ years of experience in tax accounting, preferably with some public accounting experience
- Preferred candidate has a CPA license
- US Citizenship
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong US GAAP background, including tax accounting and business combinations.
- Proficient in OneSource Tax Provision.
- Strong written and verbal communication and project management skills.
Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual27s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
