In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Setting the multi-year technology vision and architecture strategy for the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) domain, translating enterprise priorities into a coherent platform evolution roadmap that supports massive scale, system resilience, and a frictionless client authentication experience.
Building and leading a high-performing engineering organization composed of multiple identity squads and technical leads, fostering an inclusive culture of engineering excellence, psychological safety, and continuous professional growth that attracts and retains top talent.
Governing the design, deployment, and end-to-end lifecycle of core identity services-including authentication, fine-grained authorization, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and federated protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML)-ensuring strict adherence to financial security and privacy regulations.
Serving as the primary engineering voice in cross-functional forums, partnering closely with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Product Management, and digital channel squads to align roadmaps, resolve complex architectural dependencies, and represent platform engineering decisions with data-driven credibility.
Establishing robust engineering operating rhythms, including sprint execution standards, architecture reviews, system SLOs/SLAs, on-call rotations, and incident response runbooks to ensure identity systems run at five-nines availability and production escalations are remediated swiftly.
Leading technical evaluations and vendor governance for identity and access management platforms, driving informed build-versus-buy decisions, contract and tooling investments, and technology integrations to optimize cost and platform efficacy.
Driving continuous improvement in software quality, security posture, and delivery velocity through metrics-driven retrospectives, automated testing, modern CI/CD pipelines, and proactive reduction of technical and architectural debt.
Championing a culture of technical innovation and knowledge sharing across engineering teams, facilitating forums for secure identity best practices, emerging authentication technologies (e.g., passkeys, passwordless), and resilient distributed system design.
