Full Job Description
Position: Senior Manager, School Partnerships
Department: Lincoln Center Education
Role Overview: Reporting to the Senior Director of Teaching Artist Programs, the Senior Manager, School Partnerships serves as a primary relationship builder and connector between Lincoln Center Education (LCE) and schools we serve across New York City and beyond. This role stewards trusted partnerships with school leaders, teachers, families, and district offices, ensuring that LCE's programming, professional development offerings, and leadership initiatives are responsive to community needs, culturally resonant, and deeply embedded in the fabric of PreK-12 education. As a key ambassador for LCE, the Senior Manager brings organizational rigor, cultural fluency, and a deep belief in the transformative power of arts education, helping school communities create meaningful learning experiences for young people.
What You'll Get to Do Here:
Cultivate, manage, and expand LCE's portfolio of school relationships across NYC public, private, and charter schools, serving as the primary point of contact for principals, assistant principals, arts coordinators, classroom teachers, and parent leaders.
Build and navigate partnerships across the New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) ecosystem, including central offices, borough field support centers, district superintendents, and the NYCPS Arts Office. These efforts will work in coordination with LCPA government relations teams to align LCE programs with school and district priorities.
Collaborate with Teaching Artistry Program Senior Director and Program Manager on Teaching Artist assignments, logistics, and service delivery in K-12 schools.
Partner with school, district, and network leadership to support the planning and delivery of LCE programs and professional development.
Design and implement systems for onboarding new school partners, tracking engagement, and ensuring consistent, high-quality communication across the partnership lifecycle.
Lead partnership review cycles, track key metrics, and synthesize feedback from school partners, LCE staff, PD participants, and NYCPS colleagues to inform program design, funder reporting, and organizational learning.
Manage school-facing contracts, partnership agreements, and government forms (e.g., MTAC) in coordination with Education Operations and Government Relations teams.
Oversee budget, expense management, and invoicing for school partnerships in coordination with Education Operations.
This position requires regular travel to schools and sites throughout NYC, with occasional evening and weekend hours to support community events, performances, and professional learning opportunities.
Assist in the strategic development of Summer Forum and other PD offerings for PreK-12 educators, supporting collaboratively in the recruitment and retention of educators in our events.
Contribute to a culture of care, equity, and excellence across the LCE team
You'll Be a Fit If You Bring:
6+ years of relevant professional experience, including significant experience working with the NYCPS, including familiarity with school structures, PD pathways, decision-making processes, and the daily realities of teachers, leaders, and administrators.
Working knowledge of the professional learning landscape, how schools, districts, and networks design, fund, and deliver PD.
Experience collaborating with Teaching Artists or other external practitioners, including matching them to school contexts, supporting relationship building, and stewarding their work in partner communities.
An ability to build authentic, lasting relationships across institutional, community, and cultural contexts with warmth and humility.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex portfolio of partners, deadlines, and moving pieces without losing the human touch.
A track record of navigating school communities with respect for the roles and voices of administrators, educators, students, and families.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to shift across audiences (e.g., NYCPS officials, school leaders, classroom teachers, parents, funders, artists)
Creative, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving in dynamic school environments.
Experience managing program or partnership budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting, and aligning spend with program goals.
Passion for the performing arts and belief in the transformative role of arts education in young people's lives.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience) in education, arts education, teacher leadership, community organizing, or a related field.
