How you'll make an impact:The Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting is responsible for leading the company's revenue accounting function, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 while supporting the company's continued growth. This role will oversee the monthly revenue close process, maintain strong internal controls, partner closely with Sales, FP&A, and Business Operations, and provide technical accounting guidance for complex customer arrangements. This role reports to the VP of Accounting.
The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in SaaS revenue recognition, excellent people leadership skills, and the ability to improve processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead all aspects of revenue accounting and revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review and interpret customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
- Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal, to evaluate non-standard contract terms and their accounting implications.
- Oversee deferred revenue, accounts receivable and the related reserves, commissions accounting, and other related balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of revenue-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over revenue accounting, supporting SOX compliance and audit readiness.
- Research and document technical accounting conclusions for complex transactions.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Develop, mentor, and manage 5 team members of the revenue accounting team.
- Collaborate with Finance, and IT to support company initiatives, system implementations, and business growth.
- Assist with special projects, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:Required - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience in revenue accounting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
- Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based software company.
- Experience managing or mentoring accounting professionals.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Preferred - NetSuite ERP experience preferred.
- Experience working in a high-growth technology environment.
- Public accounting experience (Big Four or national firm) is a plus.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000
Actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
