Senior Manager, Project Management - Integrated Global Workforce Planning
This role will server as the primary strategic orchestrator across Capital One’s Technology Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) ecosystem. Operating at the intersection of business strategy, financial engineering, and operational governance, this role acts as the connective tissue bridging Finance, Division Labor Leads, HR, Talent Acquisition, and Tech Executive Leadership. While individual program leads manage specialized domains (e.g., International Talent Expansion, Students & Grads Demand Planning, Non-Associate Labor, Location Strategy), this role is responsible for synthesizing these disparate operational inputs into a unified, end-to-end strategic labor roadmap and automated decision-support infrastructure.
Core Mission: Convert financial budget models (in dollars) into actionable headcount targets, skill profiles, and organizational design frameworks, while building self-service reporting dashboards and delivering executive-ready narratives for senior leadership.
What You’ll Do:
Lead moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to teams, peers, and direct reports
Design, develop, and adapt project plans in a fast-paced environment, revising requirements as needed to meet shifting goals
Ensure comprehensive project documentation and governance to proactively manage risks and guarantee on-time delivery
Leverage strong problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure project execution aligns with business intent
Serve as a strategic and tactical thought partner to project customers and cross-functional teams to drive seamless delivery
Build strong relationships and leverage outstanding communication skills to inform, align, and influence stakeholders at all levels across the company
Quickly implement clear frameworks and organization to effectively manage work within complex workstreams
Lead with a coaching mindset to mentor, develop, and grow a team of associates

Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
9+ years of Project Management experience
3+ years of people management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr Manager, Project ManagementRichmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
