Full Job Description
Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on engineering leader to build and lead a Platform Engineering organization responsible for delivering a secure, scalable, and reliable API-first Compute Platform for Network & Interconnection Engineering (N&IE). This platform will enable self-service infrastructure, accelerate application and automation deployment, and provide the foundation for AI-driven and autonomous operations across the organization.

This leader will also manage Quality Engineering team (Function and Performance) for compute based network product offerings.

The successful candidate is a visionary engineering leader who can build a self-service, API-first compute platform, establish world-class reliability and quality engineering practices, and accelerate the organization's transition to AI-Native and autonomous operations. This individual combines deep technical expertise with strong people leadership and a passion for enabling teams to innovate faster through platform capabilities, automation, and intelligent systems.

Responsibilities

AI-Native Engineering & Autonomous Operations
  • Champion AI-Native engineering practices through the adoption of Generative AI, Agentic workflows, AI-powered development tools, and intelligent automation
  • Lead development of AI-first platforms, agents, and operational capabilities that enable agent/agentic development across N&IE teams
  • Drive adoption of AIOps and Agentic AI solutions that improve engineering productivity, operational efficiency, and service reliability


Platform Strategy & Engineering Leadership
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across Platform Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure Operations, and Network Edge Validation
  • Define and execute the roadmap for an API-first Compute Platform that delivers self-service infrastructure, automation, observability, and platform services for N&IE
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, Engineering, Security, and Operations leaders to deliver strategic platform capabilities and drive organizational alignment
  • Establish a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement


Reliability, Operations & Platform Services
  • Own the availability, scalability, performance, security, and operational health of cloud, server, and hybrid infrastructure platforms
  • Drive observability, incident management, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and service governance practices
  • Establish and maintain reliability standards, service objectives (SLIs/SLOs), platform lifecycle management, and operational excellence programs


Network Edge Quality Engineering
  • Lead the Test Engineering team responsible for functional, integration, performance, scalability, resiliency, and release validation of VNF/CNF
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle


Security, Compliance & Business Management
  • Ensure platform environments meet security, compliance, risk management, and data protection requirements
  • Partner with governance teams for operational governance, vulnerability remediation, technology lifecycle management, vendor partnerships, and budget planning


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience leading Platform Engineering, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, Network Operations, or related engineering organizations, including experience building and scaling high-performing teams
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, distributed systems, infrastructure automation, observability, reliability engineering, and API-driven platform architectures
  • Experience building self-service infrastructure platforms or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) capabilities
  • Proven success driving technology transformation, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Security organizations
  • Hands-on experience applying AI-assisted development, Agentic workflows, AIOps, and AI-Native engineering practices to improve engineering productivity and business outcomes


Preferred Technical Skills
  • Platform Engineering/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and large-scale distributed infrastructure operations
  • Cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes administration, hybrid cloud environments, and API-first platform architectures
  • Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or equivalent
  • Linux systems, bare-metal infrastructure, virtualization technologies (KVM, Xen, or similar), and infrastructure lifecycle management
  • Network Edge technologies, VNF/CNF validation, performance engineering, and service reliability
  • CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, observability, monitoring, incident management, and operational governance
  • Generative AI, Agentic AI, AIOps, and AI-powered engineering tools


The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 177,000 - 265,000 USD / Annual

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 213,000 - 319,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
