WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Lead product management for the nVent EBS E-house segment by boosting overall product line performance, including revenue growth, margin expansion, and productivity improvement.
  • Apply market insights in developing long-term technology and product lifecycle strategy focused on portfolio standardization to expand operational capacity and customer experience.
  • Coordinate the implementation of strategic programs and activities through influential cross-functional communication for assigned product category.
  • Conduct voice of the customer (primary, secondary, observational) and field testing to uncover unmet customer needs and drive new products and services.
  • Develop strong and quantifiable value propositions for product families to articulate differentiation to customers, channel partners, and sales.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product development teams to implement all aspects associated with the product definition, product development, pricing, market introduction, sales tools, and promotion plans.
  • Drive Advanced Product Development processes, tools, and metrics for the product management and engineering organization. Develop a culture that encourages new ideas and tests concepts to drive improved quantified outcomes for customers.
  • Help identify and charter strategic projects that drive innovation leveraging technology trends, market trends, and integrated solutions.
  • Cultivate external partnerships to accelerate technology funnel and product commercialization


YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Engineering or Business is highly preferred.
  • MBA or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Ideally 10+ years of product management experience in industrial automation or utility-focused companies
  • Hands-on experience working with utility and commercial sales channels including distributors, direct sales, and manufacturer's reps is required.
  • Experience in Engineered-to-Order (ETO) business required
  • Leading cross-functional teams to establish and implement a product line strategy
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, demonstrating excellent active listening skills
  • Demonstrated skills to analyze, interpret, and draw meaningful and accurate conclusions from data, including financial analysis
  • Proven ability to conduct Voice of the Customer and define customer needs
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and work out of our Houston, TX, Madison, WI, or Chattanooga, TN locations.
