The Senior Manager, Business Support leads teams to achieve planning and business support objectives and ensure operational excellence. They provide guidance and expertise, address operational challenges, and continuously improve processes. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving a high-performing, service-oriented team. They monitor performance, develop talent, ensure compliance with policies, and foster a positive team environment. The Senior Manager oversees business support functions, and ensures smooth and efficient operations through strategic planning and resource management.
In this role, you will
Serve as the primary point of connection between operational teams (Humanitarian Services) and Government Relations, Philanthropy and Communications, managing the workflows that exist with each team.
Manage external reporting on operations and philanthropic funds.
Manage the business development pipeline and key business development initiatives such as proposals and pitches.
Lead and manage initiatives and projects to deliver on time and within budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. This will include special and strategic projects, response-related pilots and initiatives, as well as key business process improvement projects that cross multiple teams within the organization.
Contribute to the development and implementation of business management practices, processes and tools to support continuous improvement and operational efficacy.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of various business units and implementing improvements as needed.
Lead and manage significant organizational changes, ensuring effective implementation and senior management support.
Act as a liaison between different departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration and information sharing.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the business support functions.
Set team performance and development objectives, establish workplans, monitor performance, resolve conflict and provide coaching and feedback.

What we are looking for :
A minimum of 6-9 years experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree in business administration, management, or a related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Leadership and team management skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and inspire, motivate, and engage teams to achieve program objectives.
Experience in project management and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint is required.
Ability to identify complex problems, conduct deep analysis in unfamiliar areas, predict outcomes, and develop innovative, collaborative solutions by balancing technical inputs with strategic objectives.
Communication and influencing skills to synthesize diverse and sometimes conflicting perspectives and find mutually beneficial solutions, often in sensitive or complex situations.
Fluency in English is required, fluency in French is an asset.
