Full Job Description
The Senior Manager, Commercial Learning & Development will be responsible for the development, execution, and ongoing management of learning programs supporting the LIFYORLI Sales team. This role will lead the development and continuous evolution of onboarding, ongoing field training, and workshops designed to build capabilities and support execution of key business priorities and will report to the Senior Director, Commercial Learning & Development.
The Senior Manager will partner closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Commercial Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to identify learning needs and translate business strategy into effective learning solutions. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the LIFYORLI sales team has the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to execute effectively in an evolving marketplace.
Responsibilities:
• Leverage existing launch training materials to design, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive onboarding curriculum for new Oncology Sales Team hires
• Partner cross-functionally with subject matter experts to develop and execute learning programs and workshops that support field and business needs
• Manage assigned learning initiatives from development through deployment, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder needs are met
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure appropriate learning content is organized, maintained, and available to different learner cohorts
• Manage training materials through review and approval processes, including Veeva workflows, version control, and curriculum maintenance
• Partner with field leadership and Regional Field Trainers to identify learning needs, gather field insights, and support ongoing reinforcement
• Apply adult learning principles across live, virtual, digital, and self-directed learning formats
• Manage external vendors and agency partners, including project scope, timelines, deliverables, and budgets
• Support the development of assessments, certifications, and other reinforcement activities to evaluate knowledge and learning effectiveness
• Model and promote Corcept's key principles, collaborating effectively, embracing possibilities, following the data, and leading by doing, to build a culture of accountability, innovation, and trust
• Provide consultative support to ex-U.S. teams, sharing U.S. launch training experience, best practices, and relevant resources to help inform the development of market-specific training programs
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
• Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, curriculum development, and performance-based learning
• Ability to translate complex scientific, clinical, and commercial information into clear and engaging learning experiences
• Strong facilitation, presentation, written communication, and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and independently lead projects from development through execution
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization
• Experience with learning management systems and digital learning platforms; ACTO or similar LMS experience preferred
• Experience with Veeva or similar pharmaceutical content review and approval systems
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and commercial field technologies
• Experience with learning-authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, or similar platforms preferred
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Familiarity with emerging learning technologies, including AI-enabled tools, and an interest in applying technology to improve learning effectiveness and efficiency
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization and adapt to evolving business priorities
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial learning and development, sales training, commercial effectiveness, sales, marketing, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Experience designing and delivering learning programs for customer-facing commercial teams; oncology experience strongly preferred
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $154,980 - $205,110; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
