Full Job Description
The Goodwill Central Texas Marketing team supports a diverse and complex organization, serving internal stakeholders and community members across Retail, Commercial Services, Goodwill Staffing Group, GCTA Technical College, Excel Center Adult High School, Business and Community Engagement, Workforce Advancement Programs, and Development.
The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations serves as Chief of Staff for the Goodwill Central Texas Marketing organization and is a key liaison between the marketing team, organizational stakeholders, and external clients.

Role and Responsibilities

Marketing Operations and Project Management
  • Oversees the marketing team's project portfolio, ensuring projects are appropriately prioritized, staffed, scheduled, resourced, and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Serves as a primary liaison between the marketing organization, internal clients, and external stakeholders, facilitating communication, managing expectations, resolving issues, and removing project blockers.
  • Develops, documents, implements, and continuously improves marketing processes, policies, and SOPs to increase efficiency, consistency, accountability, and scalability.
  • Leads operational onboarding for new marketing team members, coordinates ongoing training related to marketing processes, systems, tools, policies, and best practices.


Performance, Planning, and Accountability
  • Monitors marketing team performance against quarterly and annual goals, providing ongoing reporting, accountability, and escalation to ensure long term objectives are achieved.
  • In partnership with VP Marketing and organizational stakeholders, coordinates annual and quarterly marketing planning, goal setting, and biannual performance reviews
  • Manages marketing budgets and financial operations, including budget tracking, forecasting, invoice approvals, purchasing, and reconciliation; partners with Finance and Accounting to monitor spending, ensure compliance, and identify variances.


Systems, Documentation, & Administration
  • Owns the day-to-day operational infrastructure of the marketing organization, including documentation, records management, scheduling, contract administration, purchasing, and other administrative processes.
  • Owns the Marketing Team's EOS (Enterprise Operating System) implementation


Vendor and Production Management
  • Manages relationships with marketing vendors, agencies, partners, creators, and other external parties; directs inquiries, oversees vendor contract negotiations, deliverables, and timelines
  • Coordinates production and delivery of printed and digital marketing materials and assets, ensuring quality, accuracy, timely delivery, and brand compliance.
  • Coordinates marketing graphics, signage, and installation projects for retail locations, working with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate execution.


Other Duties
  • Provides operational and logistical support for organizational and marketing events, including vendor and venue coordination, materials, staffing, timelines, and on-site execution as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have direct reports but is responsible for assigning, coordinating, and prioritizing work across the full marketing team and providing functional leadership to team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

This role requires a confident and capable project manager and cross-functional leader who is comfortable triaging complex workflows, coordinating cross-functional teams, interfacing with a variety of stakeholders, and making confident, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-8+ years of project management and team leadership experience in a marketing or communications setting, either agency or in-house.
  • Experience with workflow management and project management platforms required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required
  • Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, invoices, and financial reporting required
  • Experience with Hubspot strongly preferred
  • Experience with a large, multi-brand organization strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with AI tools, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other mar tech stack tools strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and organizational change
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients, external partners, and cross-functional stakeholders while providing a high level of service
  • Exceptional judgment, professionalism, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
  • The ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
