Overview

Lutron Electronics is seeking a proactive, strategic, and relationship-focused Senior Manager, Global Logistics to join our office in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, execution, and continuous improvement of the company's global transportation and logistics network. You will oversee a corporate logistics team and manages relationships with global logistics partners across all transportation modes to support Lutron's growth, service, and cost objectives.

Reporting into Corporate Operations & Logistics, you will partner closely with Trade Compliance, Customer Service, Sales, Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure predictable, compliant, and cost-effective logistics solutions worldwide.

Responsibilities

Global Logistics Strategy & Leadership:
  • Lead and develop a global corporate logistics organization across the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for global transportation issues, ensuring high service levels and rapid resolution.
  • Foster a customer-centric, performance-driven team culture with a strong continuous improvement mindset.

Transportation Network Management:
  • Design, implement, and manage global transportation programs supporting:
    • Raw material inbound flow
    • Intercompany transfers
    • Outbound customer orders
  • Optimize logistics performance across all modes: small parcel, road, air, ocean, and warehousing.
  • Develop procedures and KPIs to monitor service, cost, and reliability across the global network.

Partner & Contract Management:
  • Oversee the qualification, selection, and ongoing performance management of international and domestic logistics providers.
  • Negotiate global transportation contracts and procurement agreements to deliver cost savings and service improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers.

Systems, Processes & Quality:
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing optimization of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Execute Total Quality Management (TQM) processes within logistics operations.
  • Ensure standardized, scalable logistics procedures across regions and functions.

Trade Compliance Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Global Trade Compliance to ensure full customs compliance and adherence to import/export regulations.
  • Align logistics execution with compliance requirements while minimizing risk and controlling costs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with Customer Service, Sales, Sales Operations, Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing to improve workflow and efficiency across corporate offices, distribution centers, and shipping locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in logistics/supply chain industry with hands-on experience in international and domestic freight management
  • Minimum 8 years' supervisory (management) experience direct or indirect
  • Experience implementing and leveraging Transportation Management Systems
  • Proven experience in carrier negotiations, global contract management, and network optimization required
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 35% of the time
