Full Job Description
As Dolby continues to evolve, the Senior Manager, Global Compensation will be an integral part of our Total Rewards team and play a critical role in shaping, delivering, and evolving global compensation programs. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution-partnering closely with business leaders and senior stakeholders to translate data into insights, support decision-making, and lead meaningful change across our compensation practices.

This role will be hybrid and can be based in San Francisco, CA or Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of global compensation programs, including base salary, bonus, and equity frameworks
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to People Business Partners and business leaders, providing clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making
  • Synthesize complex compensation data and present actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership, clearly articulating trade-offs and business impact
  • Own and drive key compensation processes such as the annual and midyear cycles, including planning, execution, stakeholder alignment, and communications
  • Directly manage and develop analysts on the team, providing clear direction, strong prioritization, and hands-on coaching to ensure high-quality deliverables and strong stakeholder support
  • Deliver job architecture, leveling, and job family reviews, ensuring alignment with market competitiveness and internal equity
  • Partner closely with Recruiting to develop competitive and consistent offer strategies for critical talent
  • Lead the implementation of new compensation tools and systems, partnering cross-functionally to ensure successful deployment, strong data integrity, and operational readiness
  • Drive change management efforts tied to new systems, processes, and ways of working, ensuring adoption and long-term sustainability across stakeholders
  • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives (e.g., compensation systems enhancements, process transformation, M&A integration efforts)
  • Build and enhance dashboards, analytics, and reporting to improve visibility and support more proactive, data-driven decision-making


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation, including program design and business partnership
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing compensation talent, with accountability for team output and performance
  • Strong foundation in global compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, and equity
  • Proven ability to communicate complex compensation topics clearly and confidently to senior leadership, influencing decisions through data-driven insights
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect compensation strategy to Dolby's business model and broader organizational goals
  • Experience leading global compensation processes (e.g., annual cycles) across multiple stakeholder groups with a global mindset
  • Advanced analytical skills, including compensation benchmarking, modeling, and insights generation
  • Track record of implementing compensation systems or tools and leading associated change management efforts, including process redesign and stakeholder enablement
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with total discretion
  • Self-starter with track record of proactively identifying and solving complex challenges


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS/compensation platforms
  • Experience in high-tech or growth-oriented environments preferred


The salary range for this role is in San Francisco, CA: $191,000 - $234,000 base salary + bonus, equity, and benefits, in
Atlanta, GA: $153,000 - $187,000 base salary + bonus, equity, and benefits which can vary if outside these locations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
