PurposeThis position is the owner of gas pipeline safety compliance standards and reporting, and is responsible for monitoring adherence to standards, working with gas utilities to correct deviations from standards, monitoring gas pipeline safety compliance reporting, working with gas utilities to maintain a state of audit readiness, providing support to gas utilities for audits and audit responses, establishing standards and systems for local tracking of pipeline safety compliance, and providing leadership for prioritization of gas compliance related technology enhancement requests. This position has direct reports and provides leadership for team members with dotted line relationships across the gas utilities.

Accountabilities- Act as the owner of gas pipeline safety compliance standards including maintenance plans, work and compliance matrix, and associated process workflows and documents.
- Monitor adherence to gas pipeline safety compliance standards and work with gas utilities to correct any deviations from standards.
- In collaboration with the gas utilities, determine the need for changes to gas pipeline safety compliance standards and lead the change management process.
- Act as the owner of gas pipeline safety compliance reporting and work with gas utilities to provide complete and accurate reporting as required.
- Work with the gas utilities, regulatory, and legal to ensure gas pipeline safety compliance reporting is complete, accurate, and timely.
- Provide leadership for the prioritization of gas pipeline safety compliance related technology enhancement requests
- Champion gas pipeline safety compliance related technology enhancement requests and work with executive leadership to secure funding
- In collaboration with the gas utilities, identify areas of pipeline safety compliance risk and facilitate development of mitigation plans;
- In collaboration with the gas utilities, develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of pipeline safety compliance issues, and provide recommendations/guidance/support to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
- Facilitate and monitor implementation of mitigation plans until closure
Education and Experience- University - Bachelor degree or equivalent
- 10 years of experience in gas compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively deliver presentations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience leading teams
