Full Job Description
The Senior Manager, Finance Operations is responsible for overseeing financial operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Based in Boston, this role ensures efficient financial processes, accurate record-keeping, and strong collaboration between finance, procurement, and business teams to optimize cash flow, working capital, and vendor / client engagement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:
  • Manage a team of 8 people (AR team of 5, AP team of 3).
  • Oversee end-to-end AP and AR processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
  • Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Monitor vendor payments, reconciliations, and dispute resolutions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with our Business Solutions team to implement automation tools to streamline AP and AR processes and reduce manual errors.
  • Prepare aging reports and operational performance reporting to ensure financial stability.
  • Streamline order to cash and procure to pay processes, ensuring efficient, well controlled workflows that align with the company's growth and performance goals
Financial Operations & Cost Control:
  • In coordination with FP&A, manage financial transactions, expense and procurement tracking, against set financial budgets
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cost efficiency across financial processes.
  • Work closely with procurement and finance teams to ensure proper cashflow planning.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure financial compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Reporting & Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Generate and present financial reports, including AP/AR and cashflow reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive financial accountability and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in financial audits and ensure proper documentation of financial records.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership on financial performance improvements and systems and process enhancements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Deep understanding of Financial operations: know what great looks like!
  • Hands on experience in a range of financial systems in processing transactions (preferably NetSuite & Coupa)
  • Experience managing teams of Fin Ops professionals (global experience a plus)
  • Understanding of accounting principles and unparalleled attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a bit of a flair for diplomacy

In 6 months you will
  • Have an in-depth understanding of our Financial Operations processes (both order to cash and procure to pay)
  • Establish trusted working relationships with a variety of stakeholders both within Finance and across the org
  • Understand, plan and deliver against our company goals related to Financial Operations functions


In 12 months time you will
  • Partner with our business solutions team to make positive change in how we work (Data integration, AI, positive process and system changes)
  • Enhance leadership visibility into our results (in our process performance and projecting cash flow)

The target Total Compensation range for this position is $73,275 - $168,533 per year. This range is inclusive of base salary and a target incentive plan (which may include equity, commission, or other bonus structures).

Your specific compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as your geographic location, relevant experience, and job-related skills.
