Senior Manager, Facilities - Vienna, VA (in-office)
Unique opportunity in McLean/Vienna for company and people-minded individual.This hire will be onsite, five (5) days per week and will lead facilities operations for company's owned and leased properties.
This role oversees an 88,000-square-foot headquarters facility in Vienna, Virginia, supports commercial lease activity, and leads preventive maintenance, safety, security, vendor performance, expense management, and workplace operations.
The
Senior Manager, Facilities will lead internal staff and third-party contractors while partnering to deliver safe, reliable, cost-effective, and welcoming workplaces.
Opportunity Breakdown/Details- Lead maintenance, safety, security, and day-to-day facilities operations for the headquarters building and leased properties.
- Monitor commercial leases and partner with real estate brokers to evaluate alternatives and negotiate new leases, renewals, or extensions.
- Develop and manage annual preventive maintenance schedules for owned and leased properties.
- Lead landlord, vendor, and contractor relationships, ensuring service quality, accountability, and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Manage facilities budgets, operating expenses, priorities, and improvement projects in alignment with business needs.
- Supervise facilities employees and third-party contractors, including workload planning, coaching, performance management, and personnel decisions.
- Inspect buildings and grounds, prioritize maintenance needs, and maintain accurate records related to repairs, projects, and vendor performance.
- Collaborate with teams across a 400+ person organization with a national footprint and support special projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience- BS/BA Degree preferred
- 7+ years of relevant facilities, property management, workplace operations (or related experience).
- 5+ years of management experience, including oversight of employees, vendors, or contractors.
- Experience managing owned and leased properties, preventive maintenance programs, vendor contracts, budgets, and facilities projects.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, project management, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office. ERP training helpful.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel occasionally based on business needs.
Culture, Compensation & Benefits- $125,000 - $135,000 base salary
