Full Job Description
What does every robot need before it can reason or act? It needs to see. As robotics evolves from hand-engineered algorithms to learned AI policies, imaging becomes a central part of the end-to-end intelligence loop. This shift calls for a new camera stack that delivers synchronized, low-latency, model-ready data from sensor to tensor.

As a Senior Software Manager at NVIDIA, you'll lead this transformation for our Jetson platform. You'll define and deliver our imaging software roadmap while coordinating engineers and managers building camera drivers, image-processing algorithms, streaming frameworks, and developer tools. Together, we'll help customers move from prototype to production and shape how the next generation of humanoids and autonomous machines perceives the world. Come build the eyes of physical AI!

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead delivery of emerging sensing and imaging technologies into our Jetson BSP across drivers, algorithms, frameworks, agents, and skills
  • Support a team transitioning to an agentic development workflow that improves execution velocity, transparency, software quality, and system performance
  • Translate customer and ecosystem requirements into prioritized capabilities and measurable product outcomes
  • Align engineering efforts between software and partner teams in imaging research, tuning, Jetson product, hardware, and QA to ship features into releases on a predictable schedule
  • Develop and mentor engineering managers and senior technical leaders while crafting opportunities for the broader team to grow

What we need to see:
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ overall years of relevant software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading software teams, along with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience developing embedded Linux software for systems-on-chip with modern agentic workflows, including device drivers, platform bring-up, and debugging on target hardware
  • Technical depth in C, C++, or Rust systems software, with the ability to guide architecture, performance optimization, and system-level debugging
  • Proven ability to translate market requirements into software roadmaps and align interdisciplinary, matrixed teams to deliver results
  • Hands-on development experience with modern agentic tools, skills, and workflows

Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Knowledge of embedded camera technologies, such as MIPI CSI, GMSL, Camera over Ethernet, V4L2, ISP control, or image quality tuning
  • Taken edge AI systems from concept to production, especially in robotics
  • Experience building agentic skills or AI-assisted workflows that improve engineering efficiency and software quality
  • Familiarity with functional-safety development practices, such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508
  • Understanding of input requirements and image quality dependencies for VLMs, VLAs, and other perception models

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD for Level 4, and 320,000 USD - 488,750 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
