Job mission
The Network Development team contributes to the strategic vision on the evolution of our boutique network strategy as well as investigate and implement new areas of potential business for Cartier North-America in the future
Main accountabilities/objective of the position
Existing Network Strategy:Boutique footprint Strategy
- Position and understand the network in its environment: competition, macro-economics, urban development schemes, real estate development.
- Design and organize market intelligence feedbacks from the boutique managers and regionals.
- Analyze and present information to provide recommendations for renovation planning and network evolution.
- Confirm market potential based on market research and Cartier performance in the market (Retail, Specialist Retail and Ecommerce view)
- Identify and review possible locations in the market and propose "best" location. For validated "best" locations in the market, build investment requests for HQ
Retail Projects Investment Requests
- Elaborate presentations for each market addressing the strategic objectives and summarizing the findings, recommendations for development and related business forecasts (sales, people, investment)
- Partner with Finance to work on P&L scenarios
- Finalize investment request to Cartier headquarter and monitor approval process
- For each approved project, develop Retail / Design briefs in partnership with boutiques' teams defining business development and client experience and how the renovation will contribute to these.
Capex Investments 3-year Plan
- Maintain accurate tracking of retail leases information
- Partner with Finance and Construction in preparing and updating CAPEX 3-year plan
Data / Business analytics
provide reports - as needed - to support the existing network and liaise with various teams to analyze from a 360 angle
New business opportunities:- Identify new areas of potential business for Cartier while preserving the Brand's equity
- Contribute to new initiative planning: define objectives, evaluate Return on Investment vs. Resources needed, schedule, etc.
- Lead development and roll-out of new initiatives with internal teams
Qualifications:
- College degree in Business / MBA
- Consulting, financial analysis, project management background
- Minimum 5 years of prior experience, preferably within the luxury sector
- Entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity, outside of the box thinking to bring new ways to find information / trends and present recommendations in an Executive way
- Ability to produce sophisticated decks & materials, which can be consumed immediately by business / commercial functions
- Strong strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills with a balance between technicity (collaboration with Finance, Construction, Sales Performance) and creativity (collaboration with SDP, Retail Experience, Communications teams)
- Excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to problem solve
- Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize and to manage several projects simultaneously, attention to detail
